High tension happens within the sci-fi elements that the viewer is always learning to process, which can be an efficient way to pick up on many aspects of the story, but it can also feel like a juggling act. There’s a little bit of everything here mood-wise: a little romance, family drama, superpowers, and unintentional comedy.
