If you're a college student looking to save up on some funds, you're in luck: you can slash up to $20 in entertainment costs when you get the Spotify Premium + Hulu bundle. For just $4.99, students above 18 years old enrolled at any US Title IV accredited college or university can access Spotify songs and Hulu originals with just one bill. That's the best of music, streaming, and TV rolled into one.

To be sure, it's a steal of a deal, but there are some caveats. For one, you can't have any network add-ons on your Hulu account, and you have to be okay with everything being billed to Spotify. Spotify also uses a third-party service called SheerID to vet applications. But if all of that sounds okay to you, then you should have no trouble accessing this premium bundle.

Channel lineup: CBS Sports Network

This newcomer to cord-cutting quietly launched in April 2024. It's about 90 channels for $39.99, without any additional fees like a local channels surcharge, because there are simply no local channels. What you won't find either are sports channels. And some of the channels are Spectrum channels like Spectrum Originals and Spectrum News.

With Philo having a similar channel lineup but costing $15 less, you probably need a very good reason to go for Spectrum TV Stream. But, it's always nice to have another option.

Price: Varies depending on your location and account history.

Those with Spectrum TV or internet subscriptions will be glad to know that they can easily sign up for Spectrum on Demand. The service allows you access to major networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS, premium channels like HBO Max, and in-demand and newly-released titles including movies, TV shows, live events, concerts, and games, among others; Spectrum on Demand claims it has around 85,000 of these to choose from. Since these extra titles are available on a pay-per-view basis, the overall price may vary. But if you're willing to pay on top of your Spectrum subscription, then this service could just be for you.

Price: Varies depending on your location and account history.

Suppose you're subscribed to one of Spectrum's many TV plans. In that case, you're automatically eligible for Spectrum on Demand, the platform's streaming service that gives you access to thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows. Now, in case you can't find your favorite title on the free service, you'll likely find it on Spectrum's pay-per-view store. Here you'll find the latest movie releases and network TV shows available to rent or buy. Like most TVOD platforms, Spectrum charges around $1 to $20 for each title (the price usually depends on their popularity and recency), and you can watch it as many times as you watch within a 24-hour period.

Price: Varies depending on your location and account history.

Spamflix is a video rental service dedicated to showcasing the most offbeat and avant-garde films. Spamflix also offers themed film packs, online games, and for true-blue fanatics, an updated movie newsletter.

Like Vudu and Amazon, Row8 is a video rental service that gives users access to films that are currently screening in theaters and have yet to be available online. But perhaps unlike other rental services, Row8 prioritizes quality for quantity; it doesn't have as many titles, but it carefully curates its updated lineup, which is generally compromised of Hollywood blockbusters, indie darlings, and even some foreign films. The most interesting thing about Row8, though, is its "Movie Love Guarantee," which allows you to swap whatever movie you've rented or purchased for a different title within the first 30 minutes of viewing. This is to make sure that whatever you're watching, you're having a good time. Another nifty cost-saving feature? Upon your fourth rental or purchase, you get $1 off on all movies labeled "Home Cinema." It's worth checking out if you like watching the latest releases while saving a pretty penny.
