8 Cheaper Sling TV Alternatives

Sling TV is a major player in the live TV streaming market and for plenty of good reasons. It has a decent channel line-up and plenty of packages to choose from, plus it's available on multiple streaming devices, making it an easy service to use.

It also used to be on the more affordable side, but in late 2022, the service hiked up its prices by $5 so that Sling Orange and Sling Blue each cost $40 now, while the Orange + Blue package costs $55. If you're looking for alternative live TV streaming services that are a bit lighter on the pocket (or even entirely free), then we have you covered; below are the best Sling TV alternatives that cost less.

News and sports junkies, look away. Everyone else, listen up! Level News is a slim ten-channel cord-cutting offer for, you guessed it, the news. It's a good add-on if you have another cord-cutting subscription that doesn't include news such as Frndly TV. That said, you will have to contend for less familiar channels as big-name broadcasters like CNN, the BBC, and MSNBC are still not available. Plus, some of the channels that are available, like France24, are streamable for free online. The service only launched in November 2022, and there are echos that it's looking to add more news channels soon.
