10 Best Streaming Bundles With Max (HBO Max)

Home to the best shows people flock to every week to discuss on the internet, from Game of Thrones and The Last of Us to Succession and The White Lotus, Max is an on-demand streaming service that's hard to miss. The HBO brand makes Max a must-have for TV fans, but it also has a lot going on besides that. As a subsidiary of Warner Bros., it gets all the studio's past classics and previous hits, including all seasons of Friends and every film under The Harry Potter and DC franchises. It also has features and streaming exclusives from networks like Discovery, HGTV, Cartoon Network, and TCM to name a few.

It's a hefty package in itself, but if you're looking for other (and cheaper) ways to access the streaming service, then you might want to take the bundling route. YouTube TV has an entertainment bundle that offers Max with other services at a discounted rate, while Hulu allows you to try Max for free if you're considering adding it to your base plan. Amazon Prime also has a Max free trial, and it occasionally bundles it with other channels like Cinemax with a markdown.

Check out our roundup below to see the full details on the best Max bundles available right now.

Our recommended three best streaming bundles with max :
Max + Sling TV bundle $51.99 Watch
Netflix + Max $10 Verizon Bundle $10 Watch
Hulu + Max Bundle $23.98 Watch

Sling TV has always been the affordable live TV option, but in case you're looking for something more premium, you'd be happy to know that the platform is now offering Max as an add-on for $17/month, on top of your base Sling TV subscription. Even better, Sling TV is slashing $5/month if you get Sling Blue with Max or Sling Blue + Orange with Max (sorry Orange users). These bundles are perfect if you want to combine the accessibility of local news and sports coverage with the entertainment value of a heavyweight streamer like Max. It comes with HBO shows like Game of Thrones and Succession; WB classics like Friends and the Big Bang Theory; blockbusters like Harry Potter and Barbie; and of course, on-demand content from sister channels like HGTV, TLC, CNN, and TCM. If you purchase the Sling + Max bundle, you'll also have access to the following HBO channels: HBO East, HBO West, HBO 2, HBO Signature, HBO Family, HBO Latino, HBO Zone, and HBO Comedy. Lastly, you can access the Max app separately using your Sling credentials.

Good news for Verizon mobile customers: you're eligible to bundle two of streaming's powerhouse players, Netflix and Max, for just $10/month. Verizon's Netflix + Max bundle includes both of the streamers' ad-supported plans, which go for $7 and $10 respectively, and shaves more than 40% off their usual price. Not only is this package a steal, it's also a rare move on Netflix's part, which isn't usually too keen on bundles. The Netflix + Max is also stackable, meaning you can pair it with another $10-bundle from Verizon (we suggest the Disney-Hulu-ESPN bundle to get the most out of the discounts).

This bundle is available to Verizon customers on the Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Ultimate plans, just don't forget to enroll in the provider's myPlan subscription first.

The Hulu + Max bundle gives you the ultimate entertainment experience. On the Hulu front, you get a constant stream of lighthearted comedies, hard-hitting documentaries, and the occasional prestige drama, while on the Max front, you get a bundle within a bundle: HBO hits, Discovery documentaries, Warner Bros. blockbusters, and even BBC imports.

To access Hulu + Max, you'll have to pick a Hulu base plan, which starts at $7.99/month, and add $15.99/month for the Max add-on. With this, you get everything under one platform and pay for just one bill. Plus, you can use your Hulu credentials to log into the Max app, in case you want to watch your favorite shows on the go. If you have an existing DirecTV subscription, or if you're considering getting one, you might have heard of the DirecTV + Max bundle. It exists because Max, a premium service that's home to TV series like Game of Thrones and Succession and film franchises like the DC Cinematic Universe and Harry Potter, doesn't come pre-installed in most DirecTV packages, except in its $155 Premier plan. With this bundle, however, you're free to choose from any of DirecTV's plans, which begin at $64.99/month, and bundle in Max for free for the first three months. After that, you're automatically charged the usual ad-free price, which is $15.99/month. The bundle also gives you access to HBO channels, which will be added to your current lineup, and to the Max app, which you can sign into using your DirecTV credentials. Considering Max itself doesn't offer free trials, subscribing to this bundle could save you a considerable amount.

With YouTube TV's entertainment bundle, you get three premium services for the discounted price of $30—that's $5 off compared to getting Max (without ads), Paramount+ with Showtime, and Starz separately. It may seem pricey, especially since you'll be paying it on top of YouTube TV's already costly subscription, but it could be worth it if you're looking to get a first-rate entertainment package. Max alone gives you access to HBO's critically acclaimed shows, Warner Bros.'s blockbusters, and Discovery's many wildlife features. But coupled with Paramount+ with Showtime and Starz, you get prestige dramas, trendy comedies, and insightful documentaries on top of all that, not to mention YouTube TV's unrivaled DVR storage feature and lengthy live channel list. It's a bundle tailor-fit for TV and film enthusiasts.

Channel lineup:

With the Max-AMEX Bundle, select American Express cardholders can purchase an annual Max subscription, starting at $99/year (no ads), and get $25 back in statement credit. You can log in to your Amex account online to check if you're qualified, but generally, the offer stands for US-issued cards. It should be noted that only one card per user can avail of this bundle and that you'll have to purchase it directly on the Max platform. Once you do, the statement credit should appear 90 days after the offer expires.

If you purchase Cricket Wireless' unlimited phone plan, you get a free account with Max bundled in. Through Max's ad-supported plan, you can watch countless HBO shows, Warner Brothers movies, and Discovery documentaries on your phone, and you can also create up to 5 profiles and simultaneously stream on 3 different devices (including a smart TV). This bundle is only available on Cricket's most expensive unlimited phone plan, which costs $60, but along with Max, it also comes with 15 GB mobile hotspot, 150 GB cloud storage, unlimited texts to select countries, and coverage extending to Mexico and Canada. It's a fair price and one of the few phone-streaming bundles available now that AT&T has discontinued its Max bundles.

The Amazon Prime Video and Max bundle combines Prime's constant stream of originals with Max's vast array of programming (it has everything from HBO and TCM to Discovery and the Cartoon Network), making it an irresistible offering for true-blue TV fans. But apart from the lineup, what makes the Prime-Max bundle quite the standout is that it offers a 7-day free trial, a feature that currently isn't available on Max. So, if you're looking to test it out before committing to a subscription, this is one of the ways you can do that. Conveniently, the bundle also allows you to pay for everything under one bill via the Amazon platform.

The only downside here is that Max's more affordable, ad-supported tiers aren't available for choosing, meaning if you want Max on your Amazon Prime channel list, you'll have to make do with paying $16/month. Still, it's a reasonable trade-off for getting all of Max's properties without the hassle of interruptions and commercials.

With Amazon Prime's Max Cinemax bundle, you get access to all three of the streamers' unique films and TV shows and pocket $4.99/month in savings. That's because the bundle offers Max Ad-free ($15.99/month) and Cinemax ($9.99/month) for just $20.99, in addition to your current Amazon Prime subscription. Some notable titles include House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, and every other HBO show you can think of, as well as the latest blockbusters on Cinemax. Like most bundles, this one also conveniently charges you under one bill, under Amazon, and you can cancel it anytime you want.

Is it an overstatement to say that this is the bundle to end all bundles? Probably, but it sure is a strong deal, one positioned to beat StreamSaver’s Netflix + Apple TV + Peacock bundle, which is still $2 cheaper, mind you. The Disney+ + Hulu + Max bundle combines all of the streaming services' on-demand content (no Hulu with Live TV here, sadly) and offers them in two tiers: With Ads, which costs $16.99/month, and No Ads, which costs $29.99/month. If you were to subscribe to them separately, they’d cost $26 and $49, so the bundle saves you 34% and 38% each month, respectively. You can purchase the bundle on any of the three streaming platforms’ websites, but where you can watch them can be quite tricky. To be brief: you can watch Hulu and Disney+ content on each of their apps (they're basically interchangeable), but you can only watch Max films and shows on the Hulu app. You can't watch Hulu or Disney+ on the Max app. As of now, the bundle doesn't offer free trials, but you can cancel your subscription anytime.
