With lives at stake, an emergency hotline is a high risk, high stress job that only those capable of handling crises should take, especially when the emergency happens to be a crime. Voice is thrilling because of this, but it’s also exciting to see hardboiled detective Moo Jin-hyuk and rookie voice profiling genius Kang Kwon-joo butt heads as the sounds at the end of the call indicate shifts in the situation at hand, with the chemistry shared by the two leads. While certain procedures seemed a bit clunky on screen, Voice nonetheless is an interesting peek at the crime fighters at the end of the hotline.
