This French TV series is set in 1963, at the first high school to have both boys and girls as students.

From boys scared of the smart girls ranking better than them to teachers being afraid that girls will “distract” boys – Mixte is half comedy half a reminder of how differently young people interacted back then. And apart from the exceptional costume design, it functions as an enjoyable, and standard coming-of-age series.
